NANO TECHNOLOGY
THE NANOTECHNOLOGY
NANOTECHNOLOGY
Nanotechnology has been the hot potato in today's science. As people's interest is growing towards the field of science and technologies, the response nanotech gained is really huge.
when we speak about nanotechnology, most of us get nothing to mind like computers when speaking about tech.
But the special branch in nanotech namely "THE MOLECULAR NANOTECHNOLOGY" created a huge impact in this era.
As the nanotech involves dealing with an object at least in one dimension ranging from 1-100 nm
the fabrication techniques turn more intricate.
But the research in the field of nanotechnology has always been a thing to look at.
IMPORTANCE OF NANOTECHNOLOGY
In the present world, where everyone likes things to be portable, nanotech has a crucial role in contributing to those needs of ours.
Every computer and mobiles we use involve this nanotechnology in the making of their inner parts.
It's really fascinating to know that the mobiles we are using, contain a lot of nanochips precisely some millions of tiny transistor chips when it comes to a computer which we use daily.
So, to make something portable we need to use these nano chips huh??
Absolutely NO,
NANOTECHNOLOGY IN SCIENCE
Nanotechnology as it involves the fabrication of materials, it can deal with a lot of metals as well as semiconductors such as Silicon, Germanium and so on relating them to the green physics(physics which develop results without harming or to prevent any harm to the environment)
And as the semiconductors play an important role in electricity as well, There rose a lot of methods to conserve electricity using some metal fabrication techniques.
Researchers found that nanomaterial polymers can provide a better harvest of sunlight as some of them are proved to be successful in concentrating the sunlight at a single point.
Piezoelectric fibers are also being made more stretchable so that they can be used in clothes which when we move can convert the normal movements of energy waste into electricity.
Light bulbs are also being made with fabricated metal polymers which are shatterproof and also almost twice efficient than the normal ones.
And as we know, Moore's law is at its peak and can't be developed further. Though some researchers are trying to improve the chips, they're able to be successful partially which is at the cost of drastically increased cost of production which is of no use now.
So, researchers are turning towards nanotech for help.
